November 18th, 2019 - The Trip

Dear TNY,

“The Trip”.  I made it 802 words in.  This story isn’t a trip so much as it is a complete summary of a trip.  So, as the reader, I’m not on the trip.  I’m just hearing some douche at the party tell me about the trip (as per a previous post on summary v scene).  I don’t have to waste my time on this. I’m on an actual fucking trip. This story though? It’s weak ass writing. It’s fucking super weak ass editing.  It’s weak ass publishing.  It’s weak ass gatekeeping. 

A point of note:  We are nearing the year’s end.  And, buddy, I cannot recall a story that was even close to good this year.  This is my 44th letter of 2019.  Your publishing history is abysmal, you fucking cockstain.

Eat all the goddamn dicks.
